Welcome to the website of The Society of Mayflower Descendants in the State of Arkansas!

Dear Friends:
Welcome to the Arkansas Mayflower Society website! The AR Society is a part of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants. The Society of Mayflower Descendants is a hereditary organization comprised of individuals who have documented their descent from one or more of the 102 passengers who arrived on the Mayflower in 1620 at what is now Plymouth, Massachusetts.
A list of the 26 male passengers and 3 female passengers (whose maiden names were documented), currently known to have descendants can be found on the GSMD website and at the Membership link of our website.
The primary interest of our society is to educate people about the role of the Pilgrims in the early history and development of what was to become the United States of America. The General Society of Mayflower Descendants is one of the three largest, most respected and prestigious hereditary organizations in America. Our members are “everyday” folks. They are men and women, 18 years of age or older, of all races, colors, creeds and religions. There are Mayflower societies in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Canada and members around the world.
The Arkansas Mayflower Society wants to grow! We welcome your interest and I know the AR Society Historian will work very hard to help you with the membership process. We wish you success with your research and hope to see you at our next meeting!
Sincerely,
Gale Parsons Markley
